Maybe good for recompressing or down and dirty 1 abr encodes but quality output may or may not be good. Proved totally useless as it has no facility for ivtc NTSC dvd sources or even a decomb feature. Using its deinterlace option degrades video quality somewhat as there's no auto detection in Super Simple Converter, so you have to decide whether to do it or not after gathering information, doing tests etc. That said commercial like Wondershare and the many crapoware out there only have deinterlace options which most have no idea how to use or when to correctly. I tried Handbrake which did an excellent 3.2 pulldown and decombed my source. Leave interlaced sources alone. |
