Don't bother with all of the workarounds for the time-bomb, just download version 1.1.5.2 which is identical to 1.1.5 but with the time bomb removed. You might also want to read the author's reasons for including a hidden time-bomb. It was primarily to catch unauthorized vendors who were including his code in "packages" they were selling - in direct contravention of the license and with no compensation going to him.
I appear to be one of the few people who donated money to the author because I used VCDEasy so much. The donation rate was about one donation for every 176000 downloads. I am not suggesting that everyone can or should donate - just that when someone creates a good tool for us to use, we need to give them some encouragement and not just leech off of them. |
