I tested a range of software prior to creating my first home-video. I even tried Adobe Premier for about two weeks and got nowhere with it.
I find it amazing how much I was able to do with this program in a short time. I was able learn the program and create a 15-minute SVCD using about a dozen clips, voice-over naration, background music, green-screen, moving titles and picture-in-picture "blooper" videos that moved along with my end credits. All in less than three days.
Also, I got a nearly instant response to a "newbie" question and they fixed a minor bug I found in record time.
The help system offers suggestions as you work. There are tons of built-in examples and they continue to add to their already significant list of on-line tutorials.
