This piece of software will be as popular as windows, but is lot more reliable, impressive, efficient & as everyone probably knows, IS FREE!!!
Haven't yet bought My DVD Writer, thought I'd test a few rips with various apps, and test the output using PowerDVD. DVDShrink was the first app I used, and I concluded right there!!!! For the past year I've been using EasyVcd (Great, Great Freeware!) to create my Xvcd's, and I thought that no other software doing any other job would ever compare, until DVDShrink 3.0 beta!
If you haven't seen/used it before, or are/was like me considering buying a DVD Writer, just download this app (less than a minute to download on 56k!!!!) and use your DVDROM to rip a movie, and check the output for yourself! If you already have a DVD Writer, but using other Software. Go to control panel, add/remove programs, and then uninstall your existing ripping software! Then download this tiny, simple, amazing tool and use it, and thank God for the DVDshrink creator, these reviews, and DVDRhelp.com for it's info!
Using my Samsung 12x DVDROM, AMD 1333ghz, 80gb Seagate, 256Ram I ripped 007 Tomorrow Never Dies (Deep Analysis, complete with menus, Dolby Digital, extras.....basically everything you need.
1hr 45mins (quicker than realtime, just!)
My Friend with his Pentium4 3.06ghz, 160gb, 512Mb RAM, Pioneer DVDRW (12x read) as above
