Every time this app gets updated, I check to see if it can do a simple, one cut edit of a commercial from a 720p M2TS file recorded using my Hauppauge 1212 DVR. Today ... still a nice effort but no cigar. The resultant video will not play in the latest VLC Media Player. It does play in the paid for version of J. River Media Center 18 ... but the video is choppy and audio is out of sync. I have been pestering the developers for SMARTCUTTER to change their complicated, hard to use interface into the simple one that this programs uses ... but the SMARTCUTTER folks won't change...however...SMARTCUTTER does work...this program does not. Please keep trying ... love the simplicity of this interface. |
