1: Turn on the 610 from the front panel, Do NOT open the disc tray 2: On the 610 Remote, press the blue button, then play then 159, then 121212005255, then play then standby. 3: Enjoy multiregion viewing! Please note, the buttons must be pressed quickly or the hack will not work. You should see the numbers 121212005255 on the front panel display briefly if the hack has been input correctly. (Many Thanks to Vdemon for submitting the original hack!) You have to type in codes as described but mightily quick! Two hands, numbers quick, numbers quick, and don't spend any time looking at the display. The more times you do it, the quicker you get and eventually you can press them fast enough and if you can quickly look at the display the long line of digits DO display. If you enter the code fast enough but don't press play immediately it won't work. | |||

I can confirm that the hack above works (I applied it myself and my DVD player now plays zone 1 DVD's perfectly). It can be quite hard to input the digits quickly enough though. So, if you have a PDA, just dowmload a remote control software that supports macros (a pretty good one for PPC is Remote control 2 -> http://www.wincesoft.de/index.html). The trial version is enough to apply the hack (I did it this way myself). I can guarantee that it's a lot easier this way... | |||
