The program requires wnaspi32.dll and the Nero link is bad. It can be found at: ftp://ftp6.nero.com/wnaspi32.dll . Works as advertised, though it grinds to a crawl (about 1 KB/sec!) on bad errors so I would not use this for severely scratched discs.

The concept of marking good/bad sectors using the flag file together with the import function is a great idea !!! But the app jumps around and thereby introduces lots of read errors itself - on top of this it uses a wast number of pauses up to 8 secs each. Pol

I'm not sure how the author could be any more descriptive when he writes... The goal of this program is to recover as much as possible data of damaged, bad burned or scratched CDs or DVDs. As for your disks not opening, are you sure you have the required WNASPI.DLL file in place? This program is a God-send. In the past I used to buy inexpensive CDRs and DVDRs. Now I'm paying the price with a good percentage of my old disks being unplayable. IsoPuzzle is the only program that I found that will consistently recover all of the data. I tried using Isobuster which is the program most people recommend and I found it sorely lacking. It either gave up too easily or it filled in what it could not find with zeros rather than keeping at it. IsoPuzzle keeps at it and it does succeed.

The author needs to be more specific as to what this program is for. I've thrown everything but the kitchen sink at this program while I was bored a few days ago and it was able to open ZERO discs on either of my drives. New and old(packet writing) data CD's...newly written data DVD +R's and -R's....this program was unable to open ANY of them.
