Overall, DVDFab is not bad. Normally it rips discs without problems. However, the one annoyance is if a disc is not perfectly clean, it will assume the disc is scratched and skip sections of the movie without telling me. For this reason, DVDFab is normally not me first choice. If there are errors, please tell me, so I can try cleaning the disc! First I try DVDShrink, which works for the average DVD. If that fails I try Ripit4me. If neither of those programs can copy the disc even after several cleanings, I then try DVDFab. The only time DVDFab has failed completely is with dithat will not play in my DVD player.
I think $40 is a fair price for this program, and I would probably buy it if it had a simple pop-up to alert me to try cleaning the disc.
