For anyone researchign this product, SKIP IT! There are too many bugs to get consistent successful results. It's a great program IF it worked right, but Pinnacle made a poor choice to release this product without working the bugs out first. They are not minor bugs. Problems include rendering hangups, jerky transitions, poor quality video, chapter hangups, menu hangs, etc. The biggest problem I hear is rendering. Not only is it slow, but rendering errors happen all the time! So, unless you get this product for free, don't waste your money on it. You won't get any help from their tech support either. I've had it for a year. I've been lucky and have been succesful in geting movies captured/edited/rendered/burned. But I went thru so many trial and error procedures. Had to figure out what caused what error and how to get around it. Sometimes there are no ways around "it". It's basically a crap shoot. But I'm lucky, I only spent $15 on it (with rebate)! I can live with it. If I spent over $20, I'd be really angry! Don't waste your hard earned money! |
