Re: crashing
I had this probelm after I upgraded to a 3.0Ghz processor from a 2.5Ghz processor. Could reliably work around it by underclocking my processor back to 2.5Ghz, but processing was slow.
Recently replaced by system memory and presto, no more crashing when using processor at full speed. I had one old memory stick that was reporting wierd speed in system resource utilities. My guess is either a bad stick or mismatched sticks. I had three that I removed and replaced with 2 larger and identical sticks.
Hope this helps - the crashing problem bugged the hell out of me for the many months I had it. |
