I have used Studio 8 for the last time, after so many low's and not many high's. This software suffers from so many hangups I have thrown the towel in and am currently using Ulead VideoStudio 6 without any problem and will upgrade to version 7 shortly.
Studio 8 is a great piece of software if you can get it to work!. Its screen interface is easy to use and understand and as Pinnacle say "Capture, Edit, Make Movie" its that simple but they don't tell you about the hours of frustration it takes you to get there.
Pinnacles support, I have to say were very supportive trying to get things sorted out. Things did improve when XP SP1,DirectX9 was installed, A separate hard drive for capture was added and numerous other things, which looking back were "a shot in the dark" but still with so many DVD +R coasters and hang ups I will not be using it until Pinnacle get it right and judging by their website forum they have many issues to fix. |
