It *only* reads files from a DVD. You can't have the files on a harddrive and select a directory. (it can read from an ISO image, but it seems very fussy about the format of the image and will easily reject an image that plays fine)
It also can't encode single mpegs. It also uses vast amounts of disc space to do the encoding. It also isn't self sufficient, but it requires a lot of other programs to do stuff, they are however included in the install and it takes care of calling them when needed.
The installer, and the program will just read a langauge setting from windows and use that regardless of wether or not the user actually understands that langauge.
Given that, it does work, files are on the large side, but it if you have the source and the large mounts of disk space its just a few clicks and off you go. |
