It's user interface and workflow are unsurpassed in my opinion, assembling a movie is way easier than in other programs. Thus, it's very stable and "just works".
The real-time preview is a great addition and makes editing actually fun. Unfortunatly there aren't many 3rd party plugins available, but I hope this'll change in the future.
Another plus is the audio engine, you can't find that elsewhere.
Two negative points: I think rendering is a bit slow, and it doesn't open avisynth streams.
