I've been using clever FFMpeg for a while now, and I've had a pleasant surprise.
Now it gives you the option to link virtualdb2 for conversion, simplifying the use of filters with a less complex interface. Furthermore, it makes good use of ffmpeg, performing high-quality conversions. It has also helped me a lot in not only ripping DVDs to MKV (a process that is very simple and fast, making it another good free software alternative to makemkv), but also in converting the generated file.
The only thing I miss is the ability to convert all streams (audio and video) at once. If you want to convert the video file along with the audio files, the program doesn't unify everything into a single process, forcing the user to perform two separate conversion processes, one for video and one for audio.
In all other respects, I can only praise the developers' dedication, as this tool has become a pleasant surprise for those seeking alternatives to effective converters. |
