Beats H265 and H264 in terms of quality. H265 is around but has never achieved the popularity of H264.
Will AV1 or later codecs, become popular-who really knows? I have a feeling H264 will still be No1 for a while yet!
Will 8k TV nonsense trigger more consumer mania of 'I must have this latest TV,'because 8k must be better than 4k right? |
