This version of Lame keeps the higher frequencies at lower bitrates than all other versions I used. At 160kbps vbr the frequency is just over 17khz and near transparent for me. Other versions in most converters/gui's always do the cut off at 16khz or so and not much over for higher bitrates up to 256kbps. Very pleasing build of Lame, best yet! Also at this bitrate and above the tuning has no noise/hiss artifacting which I almost always saw in build 3.99.5 using similar bitrates.
