The only problem I ever encounterd was using 'Native mode' after the auto detection advised to select it. Use ivtc and all will be well. This is great software. The GUI is really nice to use. Such a pity development was ceased. I never regretted purchasing the full program as the free lite version was too restrictive for me and older full(unrestricted) versions buggy excepting 2.9 build.
The 3D bit is redundant- who bothers with that? but for encoding episodes in high quality h264 this software is supreme. I noticed no major quality differences to my eyes between using its Fast preset or Very Slow H264 preset. The xvid is quality too. Would have been nice if a mild denoiser was incorporated like RemoveGrain(mode5) for some grainy dvd sources, but I find the build of H264 calms the grain down sufficently, so no need. This tool is still of some major use and better than most of that crapware out there ! |
