Why the low reviews? This is very useful software indeed. All I did was rename it as mp3gain.exe as instructed and place it in the folder of last version of mp3gain to replace the exe there and it works perfectly to analyse aac files like those with .mp4a extensions or those done with Handbrake using faac etc. It wont analyse He-aac as it throws errors out so use Sound Normalizer 7.99.7 for those audio types.
Also this aac gain tool is great to analyse audio extracted from a Handbrake encode which may have clipping after using its gain feature. I always extract my Handbrake h264 encoded video file audio using Yamb portable(the installer wrecks registry settings!) then run it through m3gain and remove the clipping. Remux it back into your video with Yamb or better still use mkv toolnix for perfect audio/video synch and place a SRT inside this wonderful mkv container. |
