I can confirm that version 1.14 is 100% clean.
The old version 1.9 contained a version of youtube-dl that was deliberately tampered with.
The developer detected the rogue code, reported the origin and immediately replaced the tampered youtube-dl with a clean version based on the official youtube-dl release. The tampered version contained code to delete dll's from the programs folder, visited rogue websites, but did not contain any virus or worm. |
