I'm not sure why everybody loves this software other than the fact it's free. I personally find it way too slow and and it won't do closed captions. Even if you use DVD43 or ANYDVD for on the fly decryping, DVDShrink is just as slow. When using DVD43, copying the movie "AI" to hard drive takes 60 minutes with DVDShrink and 20 minutes with DVD2One. I notice no difference in quality although I actually think DVD2one is a bit better AND I get closed captions. So I guess the main draw here is that its' free. Not good enough for me. I only copy the movies and don't care for the Hollywood self promoting extras. |
