Using "ATI" version which came free with my Radeon 9000. Have done one round of updates, no more currently available.
Have done one major avi job dumped from Panasonic DV camera. Very nice download, learned editing interface pretty quickly, several attempts at building a menu and here's where the trouble started. Just allowing the mouse to drift over one of the menu building buttons causes it to freeze and shutdown. I don't mean clicking on the button, I mean just letting the arrow over that portion of the screen caused a shut down, over and over.
Once I figured that out I was able to build a rudimentary menu but the process was grueling and non-intuitive.
Made a very nice AVI dvd which it automatically shrunk to "91%" since it ran slightly over an hour. You know what happens next, of course. About 40 minutes into the program, audio went out of sync. The last few minutes had no audio at all.
I'll probably keep fiddling with it since I'm obviously new at this but from what I'm reading here I at least need a different encoder. |
