Great little util that can crop vob files and export to avi with good deinterlace.
Don't be fooled by the childish gui.

I was just passing through looking for some recommendations for free software and I noticed vidomi listed. I was surprised to see only 1 comment and a rating less than 10. This program is great. It does everything that I want. I am not using the latest version as the preview window did not display properly on my PC. Version 442 is fine. I record TV from a DVB card and if I want to keep something I compress in to Xvid to get it onto a CD. It would be nice to keep the MPEG2 stream without re-encoding, but this is not always practical. Vidomi does more than just compress. It edits better than any MPEG2 editor I have used and can crop "4:3 within 16:9" broadcasts. I can't give it less than top marks on any category.

i tried out this program awhile ago and it was certainly easy to use and produced pretty good results ...

MUCH easier to use than the "high quality" manual way of encoding DiVX or XViD , but not as good quality (in only my limited use of this program- this MAY be different now) ..

if you want a easy to use way to encode DiVX -- this may be for you ..
