FLV Extract extracts video and audio from FLV files without decompressing or recompressing. The video is saved as AVI (H.263/FLV1 and VP6/VP6F) or raw elementary stream (H.264/AVC) and the audio is saved to MP3. NOTE: The AVIs will not play unless you have the right decoders. Latest ffdshow contains a decoder for FLV1 and FLV4. Requires .NET Framework 2.0.

Wow, so simple yet powerful...the only thing I wish is the capability to set custom FRAME rate (before the conversion) as most recorded flv streams/or recorded web streams form the web are playing way too fast on regular media/video players (including the best MPC or MPLayer for Windows).

A very simple to use and functional little program it is. I've only used it a few times and it has been successful. It is a tool that has been added to my programs archive. A big THANKS to its creator.

I have only tried one file with this program, and it did the job no other program could do, that is, convert an flv without the proper codec ID. However, the .AVI that was output showed some distortion at the bottom. This may have been due to other errors in the source file. The program is much faster than other flv conversion options, though you have to go through an extra step (remux the AVI and MP3). Great start for this app.
