I use the latest Beta which is bundle with the 10/1/2003 released of Nero 6 Ultra Ed demo package. Well, Nero Recode does not do what I want to do, and that is "removing unwanted material from a DVD" as advertised. The DVD I was testing is a Disney's DVD (i.e. Oliver & Company), and with most DVDs from Disney, they have a tons of extra materials which made the DVD a 7GB+ DVD, while the main movie is only 3.5GB.
The structure of this DVD is divided in 4 VTS, with the main movie in VTS_2, the extras in VTS_3, and previews in VTS_4. Under VTS_3, there are 10+ titles (like I said lots of xtras), and I want to disable some big extras which made up more than 600MB, but every time, I disable any title within this VTS_3, Nero Recode disable the whole VTS_3. According to the guide at Doom9, at one time Nero Recode works like advertised, but as of this Beta release, it does not do that. Let's say, you just want to disable the FBI screen, it might disable the whole VTS. A bug?!! I think so. And since it does not do what it's really intended for, and even though it's free, I can only give a 6 for an overall score. |
