DVD::RIP is a very easy way to rip and transcode DVDs in Linux. It can use several different codecs, including the open-source XviD. The completed video file is of good quality if the correct parameters are chosen.
It does lack a profile editor to store different parameter sets. Occasionally, DVD::RIP is unable to produce a grab frame, so cannot complete the transcode for disc. |
