  1. Ive been reading a lot how the Epson R200, R300 and so on have problems with the cd tray slipping and requiring a physical push to start.

Well, after about 15 discs my new R200 was doing the same, and i became sick of pushing the tray in.

But i fixed it, I have a thread going over at hardwarecentral that explains it, its very quick and simple. This has worked perfect for me, i have no probelms with the tray slipping anymore.

I like it because its so sticky, it wont come apart and goo up the rollers in the printer.

Im sure clear shipping tape would work fine too......

@krupted, thanks for the info. i just got a new tray from epson---they gave it to me free as mine was under warranty. so far so good--about 100+ burns and it still works. someone told me the new ones are re-designed.

  5. yeah i wouldnt be surprised if they strengthened the new trays, it wouldnt be hard to do.

I know theres still a lot of people who just nudge the tray in, no need to anymore
