VTM is an excellent, little program and provides exactly what I was looking for. You can generate thumbnails out of every video file that you have codec support for on your system (I have K-lite installed, for example). What is not obvious but also works: You can also generate thumbnails consisting of only the first non-black frame of any video file by setting the time to 0 (beg) and 9999 (sec), something the author told me. Am curious to see if this is integrated as an option in one of the next versions. |
