DVDLab and DVDLab Pro is NOT, and has never ever eluded to being an AVI to Mpeg encoder. It's job in life is to author DVDs with menus ready for burning to DVD, and it does that job well. There are many other packages that do a good job of converting AVI to MPEG2.
But think outside the square. With the cost of DVD Recorders dropping daily, and the picture quality far outstripping the capture-and-convert system, you can use a DVD recorder to create your Mpeg2, then transfer it into DVDLab for the final trimmings and menu creation. |
