Works superbly with my Hauppauge USB-Live2 SD capture device. Audio is in sync (unlike with Virtualdub or Virtualdub2) and it's portable.
Version 3.10 is the last version that doesn't require you to buy the bespoke codec from the creators of AmarecTV. So DON'T DOWNLOAD OR TRY TO INSTALL V4.?? OR LATER! (If you have already done that then you'll need to uninstall it and then probably do a little bit of registry cleaning to remove all traces. I'd recommend CCleaner or Revo Uninstaller. Reboot, and then install v3.10 or earlier.)
Note: when you get it working and you're in the 'Recording' tab you MUST click on the 'Update Codec List' button to populate the list of suitable codecs that are installed on your system. I tend to use Lagarith or x264vfw for quick and dirty recordings. HuffYUV and UT Video also work well. The exact settings and codecs that you can use will often depend upon the specs of your system.
Please Note: I'm not in any way associated with any of the software companies I've mentioned, or anyone who is. |
