Tried it and works but can't keep aspect ratio as in tmpegenc,
it seems to be only a super tmpgenc wizard for beginners, if you have tmpegenc it's useless, use the wizard of tmpeng it's more powerfull and not a lot more complicated.

I tried this out in order to check the output of optimized new encoding engine that was claimed to perform better than TMPGEnc Plus.
I fed an one-hour low quality and noisy WMV file downloaded from internet. The noise reduction setting in TMPGEnc Plus is not obvious while in this DVD Source Creator you just need to indicate the level of noise you preceived by checking the corresponding level radio button. I chose "high" for my noisy WMV and set the average bitrate to 4500 bps and 2-pass VBR. There isn't any option to set the maximum bitrate.
Although it was claimed that the new noise filter will perform 25x faster than TMPGEnc Plus, it wasn't the case here. It took about 7 hours for encoding in my P4 2.4GHz HT, the same amount of time for TMPEnc Plus.
What amazing me is the output. Noise was largely removed without losing much details. The MPEG2 output looks far decent than the WMV input and better than the output from TMPGEnc Plus.
UI is intuitive and wizards are laid out in the most logical sense.
Worth a try for those users who just want to get the MPEG2 conversion done.
