It actually doesn't only create blu-ray structure, but it squeezes the source (I used a 20GB remuxed mkv) to a DVD9 size (7,95GB) although this is not what I had in mind. Adding subtitles to the source, makes the program crash, the menu's background can not be customized (only 2 default images), and if it wasn't enough, it takes almost 4 hours to complete the task (?!?). The result was something like an AVCHD disc, but for this there are other much better programs. A remainder: 2014's tsMuxeR does the same thing much better and in a few minutes, and it's also free. I'm sorry for the authors efforts, but (for me) this software is useless...

I tried a 1.9 GB .ta file produced by my satellite receiver. It is accepted by MakeBD but then it tries to process it and it keeps doing this as if in a loop. I stopped it after a full hour...

It ran ok (using a lot of resources and taking over 4 hours on 4-core/8-thread I7), but what good is a tool that produces a completely unusable output size that is just a shade too big for a DVD9 and way too small for a BD25.

I fed it as 22.3GB MKV file, and it spit out a Blu-Ray folder containing an 8.08GB (8,481,390KB) M2TS file.

I wanted a FULL SIZED Blu-Ray. Not some dinky little DVD9 wanna-be.

I was willing to WASTE 4 hours to see if I could fix a "jutter" problem I have with the MKV file, when converting it to Blu-Ray using other tools (such as tsMuxeR).

The M2TS file was playable with Splash Pro, but the folder burned to a Blu-Ray BD-RE (with ImgBurn) was unplayable. Meaning the Blu-Ray folder structure was not standard. I burn BD25 all the time without such issues.

So for me, this tool is completely useless, and I'd rather be wasting my time with a tool that actually works (like BD Rebuilder).

I got this to install in Linux under Wine and it works fine. It's designed for novice user and is very easy to use. It will re-encode everything, even compliant videos. It gives very good quality however. The thumbnail previews aren't adjustable and will display the first frame of the clip. You can use your own background image if you overwrite the on in the menu folder.

Overall not bad for a super easy to use BD Authoring program.

Give it a real try. Why do you rate it so bad in EVERY section? Bad day? It's a NEW software (STILL beta and his first public release!!!) from a new software developer. He spends his free time for this. COME ON ...
