Ma Jie’s Episodic DVD Backup Guide

Version 1.1 [created: 03.07/05; updated 03.20.05]

NOTES:

1) This guide is only necessary for DVD9 (Dual Layer discs)

2)  This guide PRESERVES menus

Software needed:

DVD Decrypter 3.5.3

DVD Shrink 3.2

VOB Blanker 1.6.0.5

GUIDE

STEP #1: RIP WHOLE DVD w/ DVD Decrypter

STEP #2: Open VOB Blanker.

Under Input Folder, locate the ripped VOBs that you ripped w/ Decrypter & open the IFO.

Then you’ll see a screen like this:

Assuming you have a Dual layer episodic disc, you’ll see a VOB, in the Title Set, that is between 6000 and 7900 MB (this example is 7676 MB).  Highlight it.  Then you'll see a screen like this:

Then under PGCs in Selected TitleSet, you’ll see 7 or 8 episodes usually.  This example has 7. 

Highlight 3 of them, and press Blank.  It’ll look like this:

Then Hit Process.  Let it process and close. 

STEP #3: Open DVD Shrink

Make sure Open Files is selected, and open the DVD. 

Adjust the Extras or soundtracks if you want, then hit backup and let it process into an ISO.

STEP #4: Burn w/ Decrypter.

NOTE: Just re-do this process for the other eps on the DVD – just blank out 1-4, for example, the second time instead of 5-7.
