Bought about 1 year ago. Worked well until.... well, does no more recognize data CD-ROM & DVD. Works only with video DVDs.
(Not a driver problem)

Bought the recorder abou two moths ago. Have burned about 25 DVD+R now, from Traxdata (2,4 speed). These are the cheapest I could find. Haven't had a single failure, and they play in all the palyers I tried. Bought it for 69 euro in The Netherlands. This was without software and cables.

Great player!!!

hi guys, I've burnt several media (philips, beep, TDK, Sony...) and I've had no problem yet. All video DVDs are played correctly in PIONEER 425 and 350. I got it for 99 € at Carrefour, but I know that it has already reached that price at BEEP's shops. It seems to behave a bit funny when the DVD is a bit scratched (problems with CRC) but I'm not sure other writers would read certain crappy rental dvds.

I bought the writer 3 months ago. I've burned lots of DVD+R and DVD+RW's, without any problem.
Great writer!!

Just bought, and works great, crappy trial software bundle is the only thing that lets it down, but for £90 im not complaining :0)

Hi,

I bought this writer a month ago. I've burnt servel +r and +rw disc, but I cannot playback them on the PHILIPS 763SA and PHILIPS DVD700 (firmware 9.28). I tried to burn the discs at the lowest speed. I used dvdxcopy and clonedvd to create backups. The discs I use are PHILPS and More discs. Can anybody tell me what I'm doing wrong? Do I need to change the compatibility settings?

I have the DVDRW416K/30 drive for few weeks now.

Burned 3 DVD+RW and 10 DVDV+R. They can all be read in
lots of DVD players. Got it for 129 euro.
Works perfectly, fast (14 min. for a 4,5 GB DVD+R).
Had a NEC 1100A which isn't nearly as good.
Tried it with Philips and Maxell DVD's.

Who needs DVD-R(W), my DVD's are read on all DVD players.
