Got mine also with Dell Inspiron 6000. So far a very bad experience. Keep getting the same meaningless error trying to copy different DVD disks, at different points of copying procedure. Could be the poor quality of Sonic software which comes with DEll (a Sonic LE edition). It did copy once OK when I reduced speed to 1x (on 8X GQ DVD+R made by: SONY D11 --Same discs record fine on my old desktop internal Emprex DVD drive. Got replacement drive NEC Model ND-6650A , slightly better results. Now will rerun the burning tests with Nero 7 trial instead of Sonic Comments posted by VictorH from United States, May 15, 2006. Included standard on my Dell Inspiron 6000. Listed by Dell as the TSSTcorp TS-L532B. Takes some doing to ID it as a Samsung drive. (URL: http://support.dell.com/support/edocs/storage/P94660/en/index.htm) Good so far at DVD-R and CD-R burns. Soon to try it with DVD+R DL burns, but honestly probably only at 2.4x, since 8x disks are so damned expensive. Comments posted by Malcolm from United States, April 13, 2006.
