| This is a great drive for the money. you can find this for about $40 US OEM. I have burned over 300 dvd-r , dvd+r and more on this drive and no problems. 2 Burners in this pc and have used the optorite on some other discs that burn faster in this drive over the NEC The frimware is up to 310E FINE - Comments posted by p0tsm0ke from United States, June 20, 2005. | The Optorite DD1603 is not bad. I like the fact that is has multiple write strategies for many DVDrs meaning I can choose to burn a 4x disc at 2.4x,4x,6x,8x not just 2.4x,4x,8x like other DVD burners.
