Bought 4 15pk spindles from Office Depot. They had buy 1, get 1 free sale this week, so it came out to about $1.13 per disk. I thought about getting the Verbatim DVD-R disks, but they appear to be CMC crap, so I got these instead. So far I successfully burned 3 discs at 4x using Pioneer 106d and Nero 5.5.10.42. It plays back perfectly on my Sony 755V player. Only minor issue is that Nero doesn't eject these disks after write completion (all other CD/DVD disks I used does eject) for some reason.

Would only burn at 4x if I burned from a disk image from hard-drive, otherwise it burns at 2x. I was able to read the burned media in the dvr-a06 burner, but not in the benq/dvp-1648A drive, or in my tosbhia SD-C2202. No wonder the media is on sale, now I see what the dvd forum is saying that the dvd+r format was not approved.

One of Sony recommended brands. One brand that actually burns at 4x on my Sony DRU500AX when Nero vers 5.5.10.42 indicates a x4 burn rate. This exact same DVDInfo code also occurred for Legacy brand DVD+R x4 brand (tigerdirect, more expensive!) and Ritek DVD+R 1-4x brand (supermediastore, less expensive!), all purchased June 03.
