Tried burning at 2.4 & 4x. Made 7 out of 25 coasters. Very unreliable towards the end of the media... the data would not verify. Nero reports "unreadable" sectors. No problems reading the ones that wrote successfully, though.

Media marked 2.4x-4x
Optorite DD0203 burns this media at max 2.4 with poor results.
Artec VOM-12E48X will only burn this media at 1.0x with poor result.
Panasonic F65 (Player, 5-disk changer) will play this media with poor result

Records well, no coasters, not all drives can read it though. my sony dvd player reads it, but sometimes video skips. the optorite drive burns without flaws, but sometimes it has trouble reading large data disc. movies play fine on the optorite.

For years I've used GQ media with good reliability in a Pioneer A03, A04, and most recently my Plextor 708UF. All the burners currently function well with other brands, but the last two times I purchased the 4X I had to take them back - either they wouldn't complete the burn, or if they did, they wouldn't play in anything. The 8x DVD+R from GQ continue work without a hitch, at their designated speed.
