Extremely unreliable. Useless for movies - generally unwatchable in second half. KProbe scans of up to 15 million errors are common. Tried all burn speeds & several types of burning software.

This Laser DVD-R got stuck and fused with the internals of my Pioneer 107D. I went to claim warranty, however they suspected me of "mis-use" so refused to replace it. Avoid this media at all cost.

I realise that the Lite-on SOHW 812S isn't the best for DVD-r (of any brand really), so its a very "Hit and Miss" with each burn, it's like the Lotto. If you hit it works great!! Miss is when the bastard can read back 1gb only

Would not burn on my IOMEGA Dual drive. Upgraded firmware to 1.22 from www.nasa.com.au support site.
Still would not burn - support suggested flashing firmware to base NEC1300 then upgrading to latest firmware - now at 1.0A (dated 26/12/2003) - still making coasters !!! Other media tried OK including Laser DVD-RW, Imation DVD+R, MediaCache DVD+R, and cheapo unbranded from North Rocks markets at $1.20 each (actually PRINCO) - only LASER DVD-R not working so far.
