I burn a 2X and work perfect almost 50 disc ... but the last disc buyed have problems at 2X
Report for each serial on the disc:
DR5LL16-01692 2X FAIL (5 burned at 2X no errors but only I can read It at same Pioneer DVR-105 and DVD-115)
DR5LL16-01724 2X OK (7 burned at 2X without problems)
DR5LL16-01732 2X OK (2 burned at 2X without problems)
DR5LL16-01850 2X FAIL (2 burned at 2X no errors report but dont work as DVD-Video only can read like files disc)

Short version says RITEKG03. Unbranded silver top, says "RiData" on the hub. 100-pack came shrink-wrapped in the red Ritek packaging. Relatively dark purple burn surface. These discs burn PERFECTLY at 1x. I've burned 99 of the 100. I think I did end up with one coaster, but as I recall, my PC crashed during the burn process, so I do not attribute that one failure to a media defect.
I've got an old 1998 Sony DVD deck (DVP-S300) that is ultra-finicky about the discs it plays. It will ONLY play 1x-burned DVDs. But so long as you burn these Ritek G03's at 1x, they play great in this ancient Sony deck. My newer Sony deck (DVP-NC665) is much more forgiving, and plays everything, including these Riteks.

This media advertised as original Ritek from shop4tech.com, burns fine and works in everything I put it in. I have found some cheeper stuff but I think I will stick with what works.
50 pack comes in a shrink-rap with no spindle so be carefull when you open it. (The Cendyne is an OEM NEC-ND1300A.)
The top surface has a film, making it nice to write on.
Cheap DVDs and no coasters. The more you pay the more likely you will get a coaster. I recomend this brand if you don't mind the 30 minute burn time.
I have burned about four of the 50 DVDs so far with out problems.

This is Ritek "branded" G03 media.
Gold top. Media dye color is Ritek G03 Purple.
No problems with 2x burning in 25 attempts.
Backups work in all stand-alones tried thus far without any freezes or blocking. Backups also play perfect in my (PC) Toshiba 1502 DVD-ROM as well as an old (PC) Samsung OEM DVD-ROM.
Great media for the price (under $1.50) and awesome compatibility with stand-alone players.

5 write errors out of 10 attempts. All good burns were 3.9gb of data or less. All bad burns were 4.1gb of data or more. All bad burns failed with write error.
