It can be burned at 2x, 4x and 6x, but I guess that at 2x gives better results.
From PIE/PIF tests the recorded quality is not very very good, but should give no problems with any DVD reader or DVD player.

i didn't had any problem at the beginning, but i think my DVD-Writer is getting somewhat allergic to this kind of media. I think putting the writing speed to 2x can lower the "calibration error" rate. i scrapped around 10 DVDs while trying to burn data on one of them, at 4x.

Packaged as OfficeMax 8X DVD-R Disks - OM98959
Excellent Disks. Was not pleased at first as I got them to use with my old Sony SLV-D100 DVD/VHS combo unit and they did not work, but soon after got the Philips DVP5960 and started writing video and DIVX to them as well as computer backups. Every disk has written without issues. I have also had good sucess with them on a Matshita UJ-825 built into a PowerBook G4 using Toast Titanium 7.0.2 for both video and files.

Using Toast 7 on a Mac. 8x burns work good for movies. 1x burn is the best for PS2. Have had trouble with skipping and unreadable when burnt at 4x for PS2.

Only allowed 4x on LG 4163 fw 104; 8x on Plextor 712 leads to fixation error when reaching the 8x speed; NEC 3520 fw 1ug burns at 8x with PIE around 30 in the 4x zone, 60 in the 6x zone and 110 in the 8x zone but the discs is playable; reading in NEC 3520 at 8x CAV is linear, anything faster leads to speed decrease. In one word this media is overrated as 8x it should be rated 6x at most.

Blanks REFUSE to be burnt at higher than 4x on the DVR-109. Using firmware 1.40 only allows for 4x, not even 2x or 1x. Actually burns SLOWER (13 min) than regular Princo 4x (11:30 min).
