I have to withdraw my earlier statement. Even the disc that appeared to have been written correctly can now -- barely 2 months later -- be only read halfway thorugh (in the writer, in a DVD-ROM it's much worse).
So I would advise you to stay as far away from this crap as possible.
(I would recommend TYG01 TDK, Maxell, Verbatim, or pretty much any other brand discs instead.)

Had two of them, the last 500 MB of one of them can't be read after burning with Pio 106 1.05; the other turned out perfect with firmware 1.06.

I've had amazing success with this media so far, compared to the problematic Memorex data I was using earlier. In contrast to another post with this same media code and burner, I have no trouble whatsoever with the Toshiba SD-R5002.

I must correct my opinion. Some medias (it's equal, which firmware is installed) are recognized from DVDInfo as DVD-ROM medias and the others as RITEKG04 medias. The DVD-ROM media can write, but only can read from my NEC. The RITEKG04 media can write and read in many drives and players, but the surface scan with DVDInfo or Nero CD Speed reports bad blocks at the end of media. I've bought 20 medias. At now i have burned 10 medias, 4 are DVD-ROM and the other 6 are RITEKG04. Only one (my third one try) has passed the surface scan. I also burned at 2x, same result.

With my NEC the first two medias with firmware 1.05 written, they function on no other DVD Drive (PC and Standalone). DVDInfo says they are DVD-ROMs. With firmware 1.06 written, there are no problems. DVDInfo can read Media Code.
