At first, this disk burn fine but skip in a few spots in my dvd player. After 10-15 burns, the disk is burn and palys perfiectly now. I guess it takes a while to properly burn-in this disk.

Bought it online for $1.30/pc, it has a cover saying "Acro Circle" Brand name. Used it on my Go_Video R6530 to record TV, and Pioneer 107 to back up data. It is perfect. Give it a A+.

UPDATE to earlier review: Silver top/ faint blue bottom. Many discs have a mottled appearance on the recording side. Can only be burned 4x on this drive using 2k5107b9a.rar hacked firmware. Kprobe scan is dirty at the beginning yet calms down shortly after. Media is usable if you already have it but I most likely won't buy again for use with this drive until it's better supported.

Total crap.
Used to burn DVDs, which did not work in my 5 players. Thought it just bad luck with Nero, but later tested with other players, all to no avail.
Also made the mistake of using these as backups for my audio/video projects. As a result, I've lost 2/3 of my video collection (I collect mostly BBC stuff), and about 1/2 of my audio collection.
Seemed to work better if I downgraded my firmware, but still pulls sector errors even on 054, just not as many. Seemed backwards to me, but what do I know. For some reason, discs would only burn at 1x with all firmware until 357 was released; since then 4x is possible, but is still crap. Even burning at 1x, data errors are plentiful. AVOID AT ALL COSTS. Stick with Ritek or even Memorex (not one fail yet with both brands).
