One 25-pack seemed OK (probably 1 coaster) on my Sony 500A. Started getting errors on the next spindle so I bought a NEC 2500A. So far, the first 5 discs off the spindle are full of errors at the outer edge of the disc (visible to eye). Very unacceptable and won't even burn properly. I'm very disappointed with these discs. I'm actually considering just throwing-out the remaining 20 discs on this spindle and not even bothering with using them. Also, some discs I already burned from the first batch show errors in the Nero scandisc -- that's not a good sign. I'll be pissed if I have to re-burn everything!

Avoid these and pay the extra dime per disk for Ritek -- cheap media is not worth the time/effort of having to re-burn/re-verify everything you write several times.

Discs work tolerably, most of the time, at 1x, and maybe 2x. 1-2 coasters at 4x, I switched to burning at 2x and 1x. That worked much better - but they might as well have been coasters - 1-4 serious video glitches (like skipping) per disc, about 50-75% of the time. All discs burned showed excessive minor error rate.

the media can only be burned on my drx-500ul at 1x speed. 2x and 4x will not work (three coasters as proof); my machine has 1 Gb of RAM and plenty of space and CPU to get the job done, and while it's possible I'm doing something wrong, it's highly unlikely.

I'll try another brand of DVD-R and see for certain.

Not sure why some DRU-510A users have complained about this media - they must be doing something wrong. I bought a 25 pack spindle of these. Every single one burned flawlessly at 1X and 2X and played back on my Sony DVD player equally as flawlessly. The 4X burn seemed to take longer than the 2X burn, but that is probably an issue with the hardware setup of my 510A or the burning software. Either way, the burns I did at 4X were also error free. I'd definitely buy this media again.

5 out of the first 6 discs were bad. Must have gotten a bad batch. I exchanged them for another brand. Burn process would fail when writing the leadout causing burning programs to hang and the drive to become unresponsive. A reboot was required to eject the disc. Discs were unreadable on the PC, but a few of them still worked on a standalone DVD player. This happenned regardless of speed or program used to burn. Other media I have burnt without any issues.
