Very disappointing. Mixed results and many errors when burning data discs. My generic Yi Jhan media often had better performance! However, I have burned a couple of DVD-videos that turned out very well. Errors usually appear at end of disc, but can appear anywhere.

Media works on Pioneer A06 that it was burned on. Plays part way through on my Compaq laptop or home DVD player and then quits. The media ink has an odd ripple effect near the edge of the disk that I haven't seen on other brands. This is also the only brand that has given me coasters.

These are marked and sold as 4X disks but are in reality 2X disks. Neither DVDDecrypter nor NERO will record them at 4X. When I contacted Memorex about the spindle of 25 they sent me a replacement spindle of the same disk that are also labeled and marketed 4X, but which also are only 2X capable. I will not buy Memorex again.

Backed up two unprotected movies and burned another disc full of regular files with Nero Express 6.0.0.28 with no problems. DVDInfoPro did not detect any read errors when burned dics were tested in DVD+/-RW Drive. However, read errors were detected in the final GB of the discs when the discs were tested in my older Toshiba SD-M1212 DVD-ROM drive although backed up movies played fine in this drive. This media is completely unacceptable for Plextor 708a owners. It is not capable of producing even a single successful burn for a movie - presentation pixelates and freezes by 50% in, even when burned at half-rated 2x speed.
Purchased from Best Buy, late April 2004. Package contains a foam ring at top, warning to update firmware card on top of stack, black plastic bottom. Part Number 3502 5572. Plastic bottom has four plastic arrows, perhaps signifying recycle status. Manufacturer includes four round indicators with arrows pointing at different numbers, indicating batch ID, which may help you identify this media. From left to right, positioned so that the recycle ID code is right side up:
Arrow One: 03
Arrow Two: 3
Arrow Three: 1
Arrow Four: 6
I strongly advise against accepting this media.

This media is horrible. I have burned 1K+ memorex CD-R's and never had any coasters due to bad media. However I attempted to burn these discs and had a 100% faliure rate...sure they would burn but during the last chapters of the movies they would freeze up, therefore bad media. Also my drive is 4x and the media is 4x rated...it burned at 1x straight.

Worst DVD-R media ever, did try Memorex DVD-R x2 before found 3 out of 3 coaster. Assumed that Memorex will improve with the new DVD-R x4, found 5 coaster out of 7 media. Did try most DVD-R media such as TDK, Fuji, Verbatim, Maxell, and some Generic Brand, found no problem at all with Sony DRU 510A. With Memorex DVD+R media x2 and x4 are working okay with Sony DRU 510A. Warning for Sony DRU 510A owner, don't buy Memorex DVD-R media.

This media was the worst I have ever seen! In all my years of recording media I have never seen media this bad. Heres what happened. I go through a 25 pack the first 7 burn fine! Then I get one that successfully completes and it didn't play in any of my players or computer. Then I get another one that coasters with a write error in the middle. Then the next one I burned had a bubble in it and it wouldn't play I wiggled it around and it broke. Same results with another package! Maybe it was a bad batch but I'm never going to touch this media again. STAY AWAY!
