Never had any problems burning with this media. As far as my Lite On drive goes. My NEC dvdrw has been finicky of late and I'm not sure how reliable it is in writing reviews. Of course the main problem is that it's a 4x disc. It writes in 2 and 4x. My old Lite On drive would write well at 2x, but my new one with Lightscribe rights this media well at 4x. Had maybe a couple of coasters out of 100, but more than likely it was my fault for running an application in the background.

The B7S9 firmware works wonder with this media, before this firmware, all Yi Jhan 001 burnt over 3.5G will skip/pause but with this firmware, no more skipping. Stay away from B7T9 firmware if you are going to use this media.

Best not to burn over 3 Gig if you don't want skipping or pausing on your movies, same apply to LG4040/4081 Benq 822/1620, under 3 Gig, Philips 642 and Apex 1500 can play back without problems but movies on DVD can't be copy, best for RMVB to mpeg stuff due to its cheap price, I got them at 20 cents a piece.

Slightly different media code :

0000 : 01 40 c1 fd 9e d8 52 00 02 87 0e 15 98 9a 90 00 .@....R.........
0010 : 03 59 69 20 4a 68 61 00 04 6e 20 30 30 31 00 00 .Yi Jha..n 001..
0020 : 05 cc c0 00 00 00 01 00 06 0b 10 11 87 78 80 00 .............x..

Loads of CRC errors, works worse at 2x than at 4x. Can't copy files back to hard drive after burning them. DO NOT BUY!!! Lead Data dvd-r work much better.

These disks are a very new formula and a variation of the Matrix disks. They have all burned perfectly, however, they aren't currently as compatible with TDK AND NEC drives as well as some others...and a couple of them have skipped during playback. The Long..Ten media id is of overall better quality currently, but I expect these will soon be as compatible and consistent.
