Always used nero with this media and using them to back up video dvds never works, its horrible, and theres always problems with the video (skipping, weird visual indiscrepancies) however on my dads dvd media player (Inca AT-2003) that plays mpg, avi, etc that are burned on the data track, not a single flaw, works perfectly, yet to have a bad burn in this case. Works great for data backups for the most part, I never did get more then 70% of the games burned on this media working on my ps2, games that work on other media with no problem (with about 15 games burned) I would buy this media again for data backups... but video backups, naw, never again.
Works fine on Apex AD-1200

Apple Disk Utility used to burn a 4 GB disc image. Although I attempted to burn at 2x (media rated speed) it would only burn at 1x. I then put the disc in a PC with a Pioneer DVR-A06 drive and ran DVDInfoPro and ran the read test. DVDInfoPro reported over 100 read erros. I finally had to stop DVDInfoPro, as I had better things to do than watch a huge error report get generated.

Two out of two burnt coasters. Seemed to burn fine (no errors), and appeared to play at first, but would not continue past the very first copyright warning screens on any of the two DVD players I tried or my computer or Xbox. The exact same data was burnt and worked on Ridata and Verbatim discs and worked perfectly.

I found them to burn slower than I would like, but at the rated speed. The cost factor makes them a nice by, but quality is not a big thing when makeing these.

I found the glue marks to show and even some scratches on the disk from the factory. I find the materials used was bone cheap.

Yes they are worth the money, but its worth spending the extra.

I found all of them but one to work fine. The one I had problems with left jump frames in one chapter of the movie

The first thing I noticed was how light and thin the discs felt. I can only imagine some exec at Circuit City figuring it will save them money to shave off a few microns of plastic. The first disc I tried burning was at 1X with NERO burning ROM 6. It failed about a third of the way through the burn. I was attempting to burn about 4 GB worth of video files. I then went to Sony's webiste, updated my frimware to 1.0f and tried to burn another DVD, this time with the RecordNow DX software that was included with the drive. It worked flawlessly at 2x then. Have not tried to burn with Nero again.

Burnt with NERO 6 and RecordNow DX. Played well in the Sony drive I burnt it with and a Pioneer DVD-ROM DVD-116 drive. However, it was sketchy with my Compaq DVD-ROM SD-612B drive. There is a 90-day WARRANTY on the back of the package (I bought a 10-pack for $6.00 after rebate) that says defective discs will be replaced at the store. I will wait until I have burnt through the rest before I try to go back. If Cicruit City does replace bad dsics, then these DVDs are worth the cheap price. Otherwise, they are too risky to use. I also wouldn't pay any more than 60 cents each for these, they are NOT worth any more than that.

Very hit and miss. Bought them cheap (luckily!). Out of spindle of 25, 5 were coasters. Of the ones that were successful, a couple didn't want to play back on DVD players where all the others worked fine (then, the "bad" ones would play on another DVD player OK). Unreliable. Visible air pockets at hub and edges of some discs.

Bought it because of the price (big rebate) at Circuit City and the salesman comment that their were identical to TDK's: they are not!
Even if the quality is generally good, there're two points that I don't like:
1)Unreliability. I can never be sure that the burning will be fine
2)Need to leave at least 250 MB free as the edge always shows errors.

6 tries, and now I have 5 coasters and a mess of plastic shards to vacuum up. After looking around online--this forum and others, I figure that it ain't even worth it to find some mystic firmware/program that'll let me burn with them, since I could get the same result w/ a lot less time and effort just deleting the files instead.

Only good thing about these dvd's is that they tought me to do a bit of research before shelling out 50 bucks on anything.

I tried to burn on these DVD-R's using my latest-firmware-patched Sony DRU-510A at 2X speed. ALL of them completed successfully but had read errors near the outer edge of the disc. When checked using Scan Disc of the Nero Tools, 1 ~ 2 % of the disc had unreadable sectors, all near the outer edge. In addition, when played on my Panasonic DVD player, movies skip and artifacts appear.

The solution to this bad media? BURN AT 1X ONLY! That solved all the problems. All burns were 100% readable after that, and no coasters yet.

In fact, this media is actually OptoDisc 1X media. Seems like Circuit City (who is the maker of the Liquid Video brand) is over-rating its media.

I bought a 10-pack from Circuit City for $24.99 - $20 rebate. My DVD writer takes quite a while for power calibration before burning the discs. First disc failed closing. The second disc is not readable on Zenith/Allegro ABV341. Although my Samsung HT-DM150 plays the second disc, but I get a lot of drop-outs and errors on the outer edge of the disc. Even my DVD writer struggles to read it. Stay away if you have a LiteOn drive.

I bought these from Circuit City. It's a 25 discs spindle. The first two are coasters because I used Nero 5.5.10.54. Then I saw people advising not to use Nero 5.5. I used Nero 6.0.0.19 instead. It started to burn. But after successfully burned, the reading on the disc edge is a disaster. It failed to read after 4GB or so. I believe these should be 1x only. I will try to burn these at 1x in the future.

I bought this media from circuit city and have used them on pioneer 105 model with nero. I am not too impressed with this media. First, it only recognizes as 1x even though it's stated as 2x. Second, the quality of the media is not good. After burning, I play in my pioneer dvd player (standalone) and my laptop and I can see artifacts (pixelization) while playing towards second half of this media. I burned the same home made movie to a no brand I bought and do not see that problem. So far it has happened on two home made movies.

When I use this media I get sporadic pauses in both the Audio and Video of my backups during playback on my Samsung DVD. When I use TDK DVD-Rs, my backups play flawlessly.

This discs play great on my computer. There may be better error correction on the PC.

My recommendation is to avoid these discs. Buy TDKs on sale instead.
