Yes, you read me right: 2.4x burned at 8x. This shows that the older-generated R00 media is actually BETTER than the newer generation R01 (4x-cert) or R02 (8x-cert) media. This was burned on the LiteOn LDW-851S, GS0F. Did some PI/PO error scans with this. Wonderful results. Results are not so good on the GS0C or GS0H firmwares (GS0F seems best for +R media). Results also don't seem as good on the LDW-811S. Nero 6.3.1.6 used. Other burning software packages were also tested, with no significant differences in the error scan result.

This media works good with the Sony NS325 player. I created a homemade DVD with a Buslink/NEC 1300A burner and Roxio's DVD Builder with no problems. My only complaint about this media is that I thought I was getting 4X, but the recording speed is actually 2.4X. I got a spindle of 25 of these at Staples for $34 on sale. Nowhere on the box, spindle label and disc does it say how fast the disc speed is. Be careful with these if you have a burner that can record higher than 2.4x and want to burn things as fast as possible.
