Out of 6 burns, 5 verified as being error free the last had an unreadable sector on the outside edge (didn't affect playback as I don't burn to the edge of the disc where I find the dye layer to be inconsistant on a lot of DVDs)
One note, to get the Fujifilm TYG02's make sure you pick up a package made in Japan as a lot of the ones I see around are made in Tiawan and come from a different maker.

update to earlier post about 8x fuji media. I rolled back the firmware on the sony dru-500a from 2.1a to 2.0h and it started burning to the dvds. Apparently the 2.1a update which makes DL DVD+R/W readable in the drive can crash the drive on newer or nevertried media. This is awsome, but then I've only burned to dvds back to back so far.

Have only had 2 sucessfull burns out of 15 of the 50 pack. While the SONY has issues with this media, the settop dvd recorder doesn't so its not a complete waste of dvds just can't use them for my Digital8 footage. Too bad fuji, won't be buying you anymore.

These discs are Taiyo Yuden's but they are very sticky like the glue never dried. The glue is also on the recording surface of the disc. I went through about 10 of them in Best Buy. How can TY package these that way. They only produce QUALITY discs but now it seems that QC is going down the tubes. The few that were good gave excellent results at 8x
