Bought a 25 last week from a local store. They are completely useless. Tried them with NEC-3540, NEC-3520, Sony-DRU500 and an LG-RH7500. Playback is almost impossible after 2GB point on my PCs and the LG7500. NeroCDSpeed aborts with errors for most of them.

Burns splendid under 3.5G - above it shows huge PIE errors; though does play very well even in that outer area... I think it is a good choice for those who do not fill the media and put only 3.5G or less; ideal for new LabelFlash technology from NEC 4551 drives which needs some space on the writable side to write a label ;)

Thomas must have a poor DVD Writer, or method. These aren't fake.

Just because he hasn't had success with it he shouldn't say they're fake, what an idiot. Thomas, if you knew anything at all about DVD media you'd know that.

I would recommend this type of media for owners of Asus / Pioneer dvd writers. I burnt about 150-200 discs without all errors. I tested the discs in XBOX as well, no problems at all. The Yamada also reads them without errors so far.

Excellent media. Works just as good as the Imation MBI PG101 R04 I used with my Philips DVD8631 Drive. Technical: Low PI Errors, under 10 average! No PI Failures.

Plays on the DVD Player in my brother's room which has trouble with discs which have not been burned properly. The fact that it works on this DVD Player means the burn quality is excellent.

lthough these are Datawrite branded, they are MCC 003 (8x certified), which is a Verbatim dye. Some have said the MCC 003 doesn't match the standard of other MCC dyes such as MCC 002 (4x certified) and MCC 004 (16x certified)but I have had no problems at all with these.

You can find MCC 003 for cheap under brands such as Datawrite, as the same MCC 003 discs with the brand name Verbatim cost more (as many, but not all know).

I would recommend these MCC 003 discs and MBI PG101 R04 - Imation made in India for owners of Philips DVD8631 Drives and most other drives. I personally prefer MCC as opposed to MBI simply because MCC (Mitsubishi Chemical Company) are well known for good Media quality.

This DVD+R discs use a FAKE MCC 003 media code(Verbatim).
Almost every disc will burn on my LG 4120B at the rated speed with Nero but you will be guarenteed playback problems on your home dvd player, particulary at the last part of the disc. (I tested playback on 9 machines, all had jerky playback.

Avoid like the plague, Datawrite like a whole bunch of cheap manufacturers continue to use fake media codes so watch out!
