Hi Gang, I found this on another website. Haven't tried it, but hopefully it'll work for you: Multi-Region: Turn On the unit with the remote controller Wait until "no disc" appears in the unit's display Press Pause, 3, 1, 4, 1, 5, 9 The word "CODE" should appear in the display Within five seconds, press the key that corresponds to the zone you want i.e. 0 for region free, 1 for region 1, 2 for region 2 and so on Again, within 5 seconds, press Pause and Power If the above fails to work then you may wish to try the following: Put the player into Standby mode Press 1 and Return on remote for region 1, 2 and Return for region 2, and so on. Use 0 and Return to return player to default region settings Press P-Mode and Return to play DVD's with the selected region, auto-switching is Off Press Audio and Return for auto-switching On Press Angle and Return for MacroVision On Press Subtitle and Return for MacroVision Off | |||

How to access service menu: DVP-S330 This worked on a U.S. model (region 1) Sony DVP-S330. Power off, no disc in player on remote: title - clear - power on - 5 This brings up the service menu. You can access the region info, but I cannot find any way to change the region in the service menu. If anyone figures it out - please post it here. | |||

como não consegui sucesso com nenhuma das duas alterações listadas para este modelo, sony dvp s330, após pesquisas, consegui uma modificação que realmente funciona. é feita via alteração do hardware, portanto não deve ser feita pos pessoas sem experiência em eletrônica. toda a alteração é feita nos pinos 72, 73 e 74 do ic 202 - MB 911011 , e consiste no seguinte: os pinos citados estão sem resistência nenhuma quando o aparelho está convertido para região 1. para converte-lo para região 4, estes pinos devem ser levados a terra atravéz de uma resistência específica, como está indicado a seguir: pino 72 - R 22k pino 73 - R 47k pino 74 - R 47k todas as 3 resistências são levadas ao terra, com o uso de uma chave simples, tipo on/off - IMPORTANTE - A TROCA SÓ FUNCIONA COM O DVD EM POWER OFF, portanto, para trocar de área apagar o dvd, trocar a chave de posição, e ligar o dvd novamente. pronto, a troca de área está feita. continua tocando discos ALL nas duas posições da chave. SEJA CUIDADOSO NA SOLDAGEM DOS PINOS, PARA NÃO COLOCAR EM CURTO OU TROCAR DE PINO. OBSERVE COM ATENÇÃO A TRILHA DO CIRCUITO IMPRESSO QUE SAI DOS PINOS, POIS É ALI QUE VOCE VAI ENCONTRAR O LOCAL PARA A SOLDAGEM. POR EXPERIÊNCIA,NÂO SOLDE AS RESISTÊNCIAS DIRETAMENTE NO CIRCUITO IMPRESSO OU NOS PINOS. USE FIOS FINOS PARA SOLDAR OS PONTOS NAS Rs, FAÇA UM BLOCO DE ISOLAMENTO PARA AS Rs, E DEPOIS AS PRENDA EM ALGUM LUGAR. FUNCIONA NORMAL - FAÇA CORRETAMENTE E COM CALMA. coloquei uma microchave logo abaixo do painel, fazendo um corte no plástico preto da base, na frente do pé do dvd. coloquei no lado direitodo painel, visto pela frente. boa sorte. | |||
